Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She was widely credited with establishing the current study of eyewitnesses' memory, and the role of children in witnessing. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer and has been awarded many prizes and grants. She has worked with many governments and organizations all over the world to conduct studies and policy issues pertaining to children who have been victims of the legal system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was director of 3 divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division of the American Psychological Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
